HELLO!

My name is Carlos Ara and I'm an Escape room designer and consultant.

Using my interior designer background and my passion for the Escape room industry, also my skills as an actor. I've been working as a freelance providing a wide range of services to escape rooms and live experiences as designing new games, evaluating existing games, workshops to create immersive narratives and working with Game Masters and as a project manager during all the stages of the creation on a new game or experience.

BRAINSTORMING & GAME DESIGNING

Meeting you and connecting with your values, philosophy and ideas is the main step to brainstorming your next escape room. After a meeting, I'll work on the design proposal from setting the rooms in theme, to working on the game flow, puzzles, the twist and the exciting ending.

PUZZLE DESIGNING

You have an amazing room, but do you need extra puzzles? In this process, I will study the game, understanding the theme, the game flow, and the difficulty of the experience and I will create puzzles that you could connect into your existing game..

CONSULTING & GAME TRANSLATION

Thanks to my background and my experience working for different clients. I will help you on any step of your game. and I will guide you to give you different options that will suit you personally.

I can make your game suitable for an international audience, without losing the quality of the game.

WORKSHOPS

Working with your team of Game masters, we can focus on different areas such as 'Public speech', 'Immersive theatrical narratives' or team building for new groups.

Using my background as an actor, I will give some tools to your team to create unique experiences.

I've been working with different clients, like Escape room owners, cooperatives to create team-building experiences, or PR companies to work towards publicity and create a Pop-up escape room for the launch of their new products.

My work with them varies depending on their necessities, some of them need full guidance on the whole process and some of their needs are more specific like working on the creativity process, design process, managing the site, and even further training on their staff for a great immersive experience.
